On February 12, 2020, at the IRTcentre base, a working meeting was held between the head of the University and Krzysztof Pature – the president of the International Center for Chemical Safety and Protection and Vera Tikhonovich - project manager. The issue of submitting was an application from the University to participate in a project aimed at improving preparedness and response to natural disasters and chemical accidents that simultaneously affect participating countries, through a series of exercises to test and strengthen national capacities, use the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism and international cooperation (working title EU-CHEM-REACT 3), financed by the European Union and on the issue of training specialists (rescuers) from EU countries based on IRTcentre.
