Since 2003, the IRTcentre has been successfully conducting practice-oriented training in short-term courses for specialists from foreign countries. In recent years, more than 7 100 specialists have been trained at the Сentre.
International activities
Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) cooperation
Strengthening of international relations and positive experience in the foreign specialists training, as well as dynamically developing educational, material and sports facilities allow to the IRTcentre to maintain existing status of the Basic Training Organization of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in the sphere of emergencies prevention and response.
Cooperation with Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC
From 2001 to 2010, the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation coordinated activities in Belarus.
Cooperation with OPCW
2011. Mariya Kanina, the teacher of Elimination of Emergencies Chair had passed the OPCW Basic training course on Chemical Weapons Protection in Spies, Switserland.
Cooperation with IAEA
The Institute participated in a number of IAEA projects in the field of prevention and elimination of radiological incidents 13.09.2003 - 21.09.2003 - Participation in the regional seminar on "Education and training the staff of centralized locations for collecting, processing and disposal of radioactive waste.
COOPERATION WITH ICDO
Cooperation between the International Civil Defence Organisation and the Institute started in 2010 and is successfully continuing.
Cooperation in the framework of the TACIS program
05.06.2003 -06.06.2003 – Visit to the Institute of TACIS experts delegation led by Project Technical Manager Luts Akerman.
Participation in international projects
In 2000-2009 “Institute for Retraining and Professional Development” took part in the following international projects and grants: -in the project “Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies” together with Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
