From December 24 to 29, three representatives of Kumtor Gold Company CJSC of Kyrgyzstan were trained at IRTcentre in the advanced training programme "Emergency Rescue Operations in Chemical Contamination Zones".
At the IRTcentre's training ground, the trainees practically refined their skills in the use of specific equipment and tools for carrying out chemical contamination rescue operations; the ability to apply situation-appropriate methods for locating and eliminating sources of chemical contamination; the use of chemical reconnaissance equipment to determine the presence, type, and concentration of chemical contamination in chemical contamination areas; and the proper use of respiratory protection equipment in conditions of chemical contamination above permissible norms.
As part of their field training, the trainees visited the Republican Special Purpose Unit "Zubr" and the Republican Centre for Emergency Management and Response of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus. The guests visited the Museum of Miniatures "Land of Mini" and had the opportunity to get acquainted with the sights of Minsk.
