From September 2 to 6, 2024, representatives of the Atyrau Oil Refinery (Republic of Kazakhstan) were trained in the advanced training program "Organization of extinguishing oil, petroleum products and gas at storage facilities" at the IRTcentre.
The training took place as part of a Belarusian group. The program was aimed to improve the skills of specialists in the organization of fire extinguishing at oil, petroleum products and gas storage facilities. During the training, the participants trained the peculiarities of the development of fires in places where petroleum products are stored, mastered new methods of organizing and carrying out work to extinguish such fires. Special attention was paid to practical classes, where trainees practiced the skills of extinguishing fires on railway overpasses for draining and filling petroleum products.
Field classes were organized for the guests from Kazakhstan at the BELORUSNEFT production association in Fanipol, visit to the POZHSNAB machine-building plant and the Educational Center of Life Safety MES Belarus. As part of the cultural program, the trainees got acquainted with the sights of Minsk and Borisov, learned about the traditions of the Belarusian people and had a chance to taste the dishes of national cuisine.
